Common Questions About The Coolside™ Pillowcase
How do cooling pillowcases work?
Cotton, silk, and bamboo are common fabrics for a cooling pillow. These fabrics work in different ways to leave a cooling effect. Some pillows are designed to prevent heat from getting trapped while some materials, such as bamboo, are better to wick away sweat or moisture to keep you cool. If you are a hot sleeper, try a cooling pillowcase today with Coop and receive a 100-night trial with every purchase.
What is the best cooling material for a pillowcase?
Our cooling pillowcase is made with innovative cooling technology that feels cold and silky to the touch. Unlike cotton or silk, the Lulltra™ cool fabric material we use is a blend of bamboo-derived viscose rayon and polyester that is also hypoallergenic and breathable. Bamboo is a great cooling material because it helps regulate body temperature and reduces night sweats by wicking away heat and moisture.
Can a cooling pillow protector be washed?
Yes! The cooling pillow protector is machine washable. Put the pillow cover in the washing machine separately on a cold gentle cycle with mild detergent, and dry on tumble dry low. Be sure to not use bleach or fabric softener, and do not iron or dry clean the cooling pillowcase.

Cool Side
The cool side pillow case is initially cool to the touch but does fade once body heat is transfered. Luckily a slight shift on the pillow brings you to a new cool spot.
Great Purchase
Love, love, love this cool pillow case. I wish there was one with both sides having the cooling fabric.
Love the pillow & pillow case!
Some have written that it's slippery but I have not experienced that. I really LOVE the pillow & pillow case. Definitely plan to buy another set soon!
Cool, but messes up hair
I found it to be cooler, yes, but it also did what a balloon does to your hair - electricity?
